Overstrand Municipality’s Digital Transformation Strategy

Ald Annelie Rabie explains the strategy aims to create a more collaborative platform for tourists and migrants through a redesigned website and the addition of a job seekers database.

Challenges, such as limited digital access among citizens due to lack of smartphones, internet, or laptops, are being addressed through initiatives like free internet access at libraries and hotspots in community halls. In response to inquiries, two EPWP workers are being deployed door-to-door to assist residents.

The first phase of implementation focuses on these efforts, with the long-term goal being to enhance digital services for the large and diverse population.
