With Trevino Forbes - Walvis Bay Municipality
The Walvis Bay council is advancing sustainable development by partnering with private sector, to operate a pilot green hydrogen plant, which has successfully filled its first cylinder.
The council is developing Green Valley, a new suburb, aiming to integrate green hydrogen for clean cooking and transportation, teaching residents to produce their own hydrogen.
Located 10 km from town, Green Valley will prioritise sustainability.
Additionally, the council is collaborating with a Finnish company to explore waste-to-energy solutions at the landfill, with feasibility studies underway to leverage these initiatives soon.
