Mayor's Vision for the Future of Overstrand Municipality

Ald Annelie Rabie shares her journey to becoming mayor, presenting a five-year plan with three key objectives: enhancing communication, decreasing crime and non-compliance with bylaws, and making it simpler and more affordable to conduct business in Overstrand.

The mayor promotes an "Overstrand for all" philosophy, advocating for equal access to excellent services. She provides real-life instances, such as prioritising services in underprivileged locations and endeavouring to electrify informal settlements.

Despite the difficulties in achieving equality in a municipality filled with numerous informal settlements, each decision made by the mayor is assessed based on these three objectives and the quest for a pleasant and attainable "Overstrand for all.
