About Kim Walsh
Kim Walsh is the Managing Director at PDG, responsible for the Public Finance Practice Area. Kim has a Masters' degree in economics and undergraduate degrees in economics and chemical engineering. She has 17 years of experience at PDG. Kim has worked with all three spheres of government, undertaking national scale policy work related to municipal finances (including subsidy and grant design); undertaking research and developing tools that assist provinces to better support municipalities; and carrying out financial planning, tariff setting and strategy work directly with municipalities. Her primary area of interest is in using financial analysis and modelling to understand and improve the viability of municipalities or municipal services. Related to this, Kim has significant experience with municipal tariff setting and assessing the affordability of municipal services.
